This is how and where TINKTEEK started

Hi. My name is Joan. I am one of the co-founders of TINKTEEK.

It has been 12 years since my career begins. Many things in my life have changed since then. But the love to travel and photography remains the same. I still remember buying my first camera with my first month salary, remember my first hiking to Nepal and cheered at the beautiful sunrise of Annapurna at Poon Hill. All of these made me realize the things I want to do and my mission to make it possible for those people, who love outdoor photography, to be able to enjoy it and afford it at the same time.

I have been doing many different works before TINKTEEK, including international buyer, quality supervisor and sales director. I appreciate these experiences, through which I have learned about the production progress, research and development, quality control and most important of all, to pursuit the core definition of the company.

You may noticed already that TINKTEEK does not have a lot of products. Right now we only have quick release plate, tripod, and a few light stands and photography clamps. This is because I do not want to rush the products on the market when they not good enough. TINKTEEK is focusing on outdoor photography equipment, which has high requirement of the stability in harsh environment, of the durability in extreme weather. To ensure all these features in quality, I tested them with my own hands in real outdoor situation using professional DSLR and mirrorless cameras.

It was a very lonely and difficult “trip” at the beginning. Luckily, I have good partner and colleagues. They support me whenever I need them and be with me to the aims we set together when the company begins, that TINKTEEK will always provide reliable, practical and affordable photography equipment for those landscape, astro and wildlife photographers.
